{"id":94080,"date":"2026-05-28T14:24:40","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T14:24:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/94080\/"},"modified":"2026-05-28T14:24:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T14:24:40","slug":"all-inter-array-cables-at-orsteds-new-offshore-wind-farm-in-taiwan-installed-and-energized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/94080\/","title":{"rendered":"All inter-array cables at \u00d8rsted&#8217;s new offshore wind farm in Taiwan installed and energized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All inter-array cables at the 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms in Taiwan have been installed and energized, and all 42 wind turbines at the project\u2019s second phase, the 583 MW Greater Changhua 4, are now connected to Taipower\u2019s grid and generating electricity.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"557\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1779978279_527_Greater-Changhua-2b-and-4_-Photo-Orsted-768x557.jpg\" class=\"attachment-medium_large size-medium_large\" alt=\"\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Greater Changhua 2b and 4; Photo: \u00d8rsted via LinkedIn<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re continuing commissioning and grid integration works to ensure that all the complex systems of the offshore wind farms \u2013 from subsea cables to offshore substations \u2013 work together seamlessly, enabling reliable operation day in and day out\u201d, \u00d8rsted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/update-from-greater-changhua-the-pace-is-ugcPost-7463574486014111745-_bII\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said via social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Located 35\u201360 kilometers off the coast of Changhua County, Greater Changhua 2b and 4 comprises 66 Siemens Gamesa\u2019s SG 14-236 wind turbines and is the first offshore wind farm globally to install 14 MW\u00a0wind turbines with 115-meter-long blades, according to the developer.<\/p>\n<p>Offshore construction started in February 2025, with the first wind turbine installed at Greater Changhua 2b in April last year, shortly after the first suction bucket jacket (SBJ) foundation, by Cadeler\u2019s vessel\u00a0Wind Maker.
