{"id":98037,"date":"2026-06-02T17:50:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T17:50:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/98037\/"},"modified":"2026-06-02T17:50:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T17:50:14","slug":"bne-intellinews-orsted-completes-cable-works-at-taiwan-offshore-wind-farm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/98037\/","title":{"rendered":"bne IntelliNews &#8211; \u00d8rsted completes cable works at Taiwan offshore wind farm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\">\u00d8rsted has completed the installation and energisation of all inter-array cables at its 920-MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind project in Taiwan, Offshore Energy writes.<\/p>\n<p>The developer said all 42 turbines at the project\u2019s second phase, the 583-MW Greater Changhua 4 wind farm, are now connected to Taipower\u2019s grid and generating electricity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re continuing commissioning and grid integration works to ensure that all the complex systems of the offshore wind farms \u2014 from subsea cables to offshore substations \u2014 work together seamlessly, enabling reliable operation day in and day out,\u201d \u00d8rsted said on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Located 35km to 60km off the coast of Changhua County, the Greater Changhua 2b and 4 project comprises 66 Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 turbines.<\/p>\n<p>According to \u00d8rsted, the development is the first offshore wind farm globally to install 14-MW turbines equipped with 115-metre blades.<\/p>\n<p>Offshore construction began in February 2025. The first turbine at Greater Changhua 2b was installed in April last year, shortly after the first suction bucket jacket foundation was deployed by Cadeler\u2019s vessel Wind Maker.<\/p>\n<p>The wind farm generated first power in July 2025.
