AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (WNYT)- Amsterdam police said a bicyclist was flown to Albany Medical Center after a crash with a vehicle and investigators say charges are possible.<\/p>\n
Related: Fulton County drug raid nets Amsterdam man on felony weapon, cocaine charges<\/a><\/p>\n The Amsterdam Police Department said officers responded May 31 to several calls about a crash involving a motor vehicle and bicyclist on Garden Street. Officers found an injured person who had been riding the bicycle with a visible leg injury. <\/p>\n Members of the Amsterdam Fire Department provided medical treatment.<\/p>\n Police said LifeNet later flew the injured person to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with officers, according to police.<\/p>\n Police said another person who had been riding the bicycle left before officers arrived. They say the crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n The department said it is being assisted by the Montgomery County District Attorney\u2019s Office and District Attorney Christina Pearson.
