The impact, which occurred while the tram was navigating a curve leading off Wartenberg Stra\u00dfe, tore a side of the vehicle open.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency services rushed to the scene and found 20 people injured, three of them seriously though none critically. Twelve of the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the scene of the accident has been cordoned off so that experts may determine the reason for the derailment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of the accident, tram lines M5 and M17 are not running between Gehrenseestra\u00dfe and Falkenberg.
