Our thoughts are with the injured and our passengers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Falk continued: \u201cThe cause of the accident still needs to be clarified. Whether technical or human error or a medical emergency triggered the accident, we cannot say at the moment,\u201d said Falk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A fire department spokesperson said an emergency call was received by the fire department&#8217;s control center at 9:29 am. \u201cA tram was traveling on Wartenberger Stra\u00dfe near Arnimstra\u00dfe when a section of the train apparently derailed,&#8221; they explained. &#8220;Fortunately, none of the train parts toppled over.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Police at the scene\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1780466241_719_1_GERMANY-TRANSPORT-TRAMWAY-ACCIDENT.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p aria-label=\"Police at the scene\" class=\"ImageCaption_caption-title__ccyQU\" data-testid=\"caption-title\">Police at the scene(Image: AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A section of the train collided with a power pole and was torn open, according to German news website <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"http:\/\/bz-berlin.de\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">bz-berlin.de <\/a>. The fire department was on scene with 51 personnel. According to a fire department spokesperson, three passengers sustained serious injuries and 17 suffered minor injuries.
