Uue UFO seadmega l\u00e4biviidud rannikuvete uurimistulemused pakkusid TalTechi meres\u00fcsteemide instituudi teadur Natalja Buhhalko s\u00f5nul t\u00e4psemat \u00fclevaadet sellest, kui laialdaselt mikroplasti tegelikult esineb ning millised riskid v\u00f5ivad kaasneda juba l\u00e4hitulevikus.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abKeskendusime 10 mikromeetrist kuni 5 millimeetrini suurustele osakestele \u2013 vahemikule, milles mikroplast keskkonnas enamasti esineb, kuid mida silmaga ei m\u00e4rka ja mida ka paljud senised uurimismeetodid ei suuda p\u00fc\u00fcda,\u00bb kirjeldab Buhhalko m\u00f5\u00f5tmise t\u00e4psust. Uuringutel kasutati uuenduslikku UFO pumpfiltrit, mis v\u00f5imaldab kinni p\u00fc\u00fcda ka v\u00e4ga v\u00e4ikeseid osakesi \u2013 v\u00f5rreldes traditsiooniliste Manta v\u00f5rkudega, mis filtreerivad vaid suuremaid pr\u00fcgielemente.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcllatavad tulemused<\/p>\n<p>Uuring h\u00f5lmas rannikuveeproove seitsmest riigist, ulatudes Hispaaniast ja Prantsusmaalt kuni Norra ja Eestini. Tulemused olid teadlaste jaoks mitmeti \u00fcllatavad. \u00abMikroplasti sisaldus varieerus tugevasti s\u00f5ltuvalt piirkonnast: madalaimad tasemed registreeriti Soome lahes (keskmiselt 5 osakest kuupmeetris), samas kui Belgia Schelde j\u00f5esuus m\u00f5\u00f5deti kuni 1600 osakest kuupmeetris. Foto: TalTech<\/p>\n<p>Eesti rannikuvett v\u00f5ib veel reostusest p\u00e4\u00e4sta<\/p>\n<p>Buhhalko s\u00f5nul tuli uuringus v\u00e4lja ka otsene seos inimese m\u00f5juga ja seda arvestades tuleks rakendada rangemaid reostust piiravaid meetmeid. \u00abN\u00e4iteks k\u00f5rgeimad saastekontsentratsioonid esinesid piirkondades, mis asuvad reoveepuhastite, sadamate ja j\u00f5gede suudmete l\u00e4heduses \u2013 ehk seal, kus inimtegevus on intensiivsem.
