Tartu observatooriumis v\u00e4ljat\u00f6\u00f6tatud kaamera v\u00f5iks startida kosmosesse 2028. aastal.<\/p>\n<p>Tartu observatooriumis kokku pandud OPIC-kaamera on esimene Eestis loodud s\u00fcvakosmose instrument, mille \u00fclesanne saab olema komeedi tuuma pildistamine. Kaamera abil v\u00f5iksid teadlased teada saada p\u00e4ikeses\u00fcsteemi, sealhulgas maa, tekkeloo ja elu algmaterjali kohta.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kuna need komeedid on \u00fclej\u00e4\u00e4k sellest materjalist, mis tollel ajal oli, siis selle p\u00f5hjal saame hinnata, mis sinna l\u00e4ks sisse. See on eriti oluline n\u00e4iteks elu alguse otsingute puhul,&#8221; s\u00f5nas Tartu observatooriumi kosmosetehnoloogia kaasprofessor Mihkel Pajusalu.<\/p>\n<p>Kaamera eesm\u00e4rk on pildistada komeeti, mis tuleb p\u00e4ikeses\u00fcsteemi \u00e4\u00e4realadelt maa l\u00e4hedale. T\u00f6\u00f6d teeb kaamera iseseisvalt, p\u00fc\u00fcdes aru saada, kas komeet on pildil v\u00f5i mitte.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Komeete on varem uuritud k\u00fcll, aga k\u00f5ik varasemalt uuritud komeedid on perioodilised ehk nad on k\u00e4inud mitu korda p\u00e4ikese juurest l\u00e4bi ja seega on p\u00e4ike neid kuumutanud ja nende pinna juba minema puhunud. Selle missiooni eesm\u00e4rk on saada pilte objektist, mis tuleb esimest korda ehk milles on keemiline foto sellest hetkest, kui see moodustus, mis oli sama aeg, kui p\u00e4ikeses\u00fcsteem moodustus ehk varem kui maa,&#8221; \u00fctles Pajusalu.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00e4naseks on kaamera testid l\u00e4binud, mist\u00f5ttu liikus see koos meeskonnaga edasi Hispaaniasse Euroopa Kosmoseagentuuri arendustiimile. Sealsete lisatestide \u00f5nnestudes v\u00f5iks kaamera lennata kosmosesse 2028. aastal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kaamera l\u00e4heb esimese hooga Lagrange l2 punkti, mis on maast umbes 1,5 miljoni kilomeetri kaugusel. Seal ootab ta maksimum viis aastat kuni tuleb komeet, mida kaardistada ja siis \u00fcritab sellest m\u00f6\u00f6da lennata. Me ei tea seda komeeti, me \u00fcritame kaardistada midagi t\u00e4iesti uut, midagi tundmatut.
