Kuigi ehituse hind on v\u00f5rreldes teiste suurprojektidega tagasihoidlik, seisab ettev\u00f5tmine poliitilise otsuse taga.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dclemiste ristmik on \u00fcks liiklustihedamaid s\u00f5lmi Tallinnas, \u00fchendades Tartu maantee, Peterburi ja J\u00e4rvevana tee. Juba paar aastat on linnavalitsuse sahtlis projekt, millega piirkond jalak\u00e4ijale s\u00f5bralikumaks ehitada.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;\u00dcheksa \u00fclek\u00e4igurada ja ajaliselt on see metsik koormus. Muidugi enamjaolt oled sa kusagil saarte peal keset kiiret autoliiklust kaheksarealise autotee vahel,&#8221; \u00fctles Sille Pihlak, projekti autor arhitektuuripraksisest PART.<\/p>\n<p>Kui autojuhtidele on \u00dclemiste ristmik suuresti lihtsalt ebamugav, siis jalak\u00e4ijatele ja ratturitele lisaks ajakulule kohati ka ohtlik, sest n\u00e4iteks tunnelis peab v\u00e4ga ettevaatlik olema, et mitte k\u00e4ega autole pihta minna.<\/p>\n<p>Ainu\u00fcksi \u00dclemiste linnakus elab ja t\u00f6\u00f6tab umbes 14 000 inimest, kelle jaoks on ristmik igap\u00e4evane l\u00e4bip\u00e4\u00e4sutee.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Mitte \u00fchtegi autorida \u00e4ra ei l\u00e4he, \u00e4rme sellep\u00e4rast muretse,&#8221; r\u00f5hutas Pihlak. &#8220;K\u00f5ik, mis tuleb juurde, tuleb sinna mulde alla ehk siis raudtee all olevatesse kergliiklustunnelitesse. Ja samamoodi tuleks sild ja ramp.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00dclemiste ristmiku \u00fcmberehitamine konkureerib teiste kiirete vajadustega, hiljuti algas n\u00e4iteks ka Peterburi tee remont. Lisaks on vaja kokkuleppele j\u00f5uda Circle K-ga, kes peaks ehituse h\u00fcvanguks oma maa linnale v\u00f5\u00f5randama.<\/p>\n<p>Tallinna keskkonnaameti teenistuse juht Elari Udam selgitas, et linna vajadused on sadades miljonites ning k\u00fcsimus on selles, millises ajaraamis neid tehakse.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kui meil on ette n\u00e4ha, et meil on suured infrastruktuuri objektid t\u00f6\u00f6s \u2013 meil on Liivalaia rekonstrueerimine, meil on Pelguranna trammi ehitus \u2013 need on v\u00e4ga kallid ja mahukad projektid, samal ajal tuleb raha leida ka teiste asjade jaoks,&#8221; lausus Udam.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dclemiste ristmiku \u00fcmberehitus aastataguse prognoosi j\u00e4rgi j\u00e4\u00e4b umbes kaheksa miljoni juurde. Kas projektiga edasi minna, j\u00e4\u00e4b j\u00e4rgmise linnav\u00f5imu otsustada. Samade autorite sarnane projekt Tartus Vaksali ja Riia maantee ristil on end juba h\u00e4sti t\u00f5estanud.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tartu linnavalitsuse poolt on ka tagasisidet tulnud, et on palju kasutatavam ja palju rohkem jalgsi liikujaid arusaadavatel p\u00f5hjustel.
