La tarde de este 10 de septiembre se reportó la explosión de una pipa de gas en las inmediaciones del Puente de la Concordia en la alcaldía Iztapalapa.

La jefa de Gobierno de la CDMX Clara Brugada, dio a conocer que hay al menos 90 personas lesionadas y cuatro fallecidos.

Imágenes y videos compartidos en redes sociales, dan cuenta de la magnitud del siniestro que se generó en el lugar y el pánico que por momentos vivieron las personas que estaban cerca. Algunas de las víctimas se observan con varias quemaduras en el cuerpo caminando y alejándose de la zona.

Una usuaria a bordo del transporte público captó el momento en el que se extendió el fuego tras la explosión de la pipa de gas y entre gritos y pánico, se ve cuando el fuego alcanza varios autos que estaban por debajo del puente de la Concordia.

Otras personas lograron captar las llamas que emitió la pipa de gas luego de la explosión. En los videos se ven las llamas rojas de varios metros de altura con humo negro expandirse por el cielo.

Luego del reporte de la explosión, policías de la Subsecretaría de Control de Tránsito y de Operación Policial de la SSC se trasladaron al lugar para realizar las labores de resguardo y retiro de los vehículos involucrados para evitar otros incidentes en la zona.

Un conductor que estuvo en el momento de la explosión y resultó herido de las manos, contó que sólo vio una nube de gas acercándose «vi la nube de gas que venía para acá», relató.

En otras imágenes se observa a elementos de bomberos atender el siniestro que dejó varios vehículos incendiados.

La titular de la Secretaría de Gestión Integral de Riesgos y Protección Civil Myriam Urzúa también se trasladó al lugar para atender el caso.
