Fallece el guitarrista fundador de THE DICTATORS y MANOWAR Ross \u201cThe Boss\u201d Friedman.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tras revelar que hab\u00eda sido diagnosticado con ELA<\/a> hace poco m\u00e1s de un mes, el guitarrista de THE DICTATORS y ROSS THE BOSS<\/strong> y ex- MANOWAR Ross<\/strong> \u201cThe Boss<\/strong>\u201d Friedman<\/strong> falleci\u00f3 ayer 26 de marzo de 2026 a los 72 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\"Ross\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Nacido en el Bronx neoyorquino el 3 de enero de 1954, comenz\u00f3 su carrera en TOTAL CRUDD<\/strong>, y despu\u00e9s form\u00f3 THE DICTATORS<\/strong> junto a Andy Shernoff<\/strong> en 1973. Grab\u00f3 tres discos con ellos entre 1975 y 1978; \u201cThe Dictators Go Girl Crazy!\u201d, \u201cManifest Destiny\u201d y \u201cBloodbrothers\u201d, tras lo cual se fue un a\u00f1o a Francia donde milit\u00f3 con la banda SHAKIN\u2019 STREET<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Con SHAKIN\u2019 STREET<\/strong> edit\u00f3 un disco hom\u00f3nimo y giraron como teloneros de BLACK SABBATH en 1980, gira en la que Ronnie James Dio<\/strong> le present\u00f3 a Joey Di Maio, con quien formar\u00eda MANOWAR<\/strong> a finales de 1980. Tras seis discos de estudio, abandon\u00f3 MANOWAR<\/strong> en 1988, y en 1990 se reuni\u00f3 con sus antiguos compa\u00f1eros en THE DICTATORS Andy Shernoff<\/strong> y Handsome Dick Manitoba<\/strong> para grabar el disco de MANITOBA\u2019S WILD KINGDOM<\/strong> \u201cAnd You?\u201d.<\/p>\n

Hacia mediados de los 90 milit\u00f3 en una banda de blues rock llamada HEYDAY<\/strong> y en 1999 grab\u00f3 un disco con SPINATRAS<\/strong>. En 2001 volvi\u00f3 con THE DICTATORS<\/strong> y sacaron el disco en estudio \u201cDFFD\u201d, y el directo \u201cViva Dictators\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\"Ross\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Tras esto particip\u00f3 en numerosos proyectos como BRAIN SURGEONS<\/strong> junto al bater\u00eda de BLUE \u00d6YSTER CULT Albert Bouchard<\/strong>, THUNDERBOSS<\/strong> junto al bater\u00eda original de THE DICTATORS JP Thunderbolt Patterson<\/strong>, o THE THUNDERBOLTS<\/strong>, junto a Patterson<\/strong> y una banda compuesta por m\u00fasicos de BUMMER y SEX MUSEUM con la que hizo una extensa gira por Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n colabor\u00f3 con DAWNRIDER<\/strong>, THE HELLACOPTERS<\/strong>, MAJESTY<\/strong>, WOTAN<\/strong>, THE NOMADS<\/strong>, ATLANTEAN KODEX<\/strong>, BURNING WITCHES<\/strong> o BURNING STARR<\/strong> entre otros.<\/p>\n

Entre 2013 y 2015 sac\u00f3 dos discos con DEATH DEALER<\/strong>, y desde 2008 llevaba funcionando con su banda ROSS THE BOSS<\/strong>, con la que hab\u00eda sacado cuatro discos, el \u00faltimo \u201cBorn Of Fire\u201d en 2020.<\/p>\n
