La categor\u00eda, que comenz\u00f3 como <strong>Best Heavy Metal Video<\/strong> en 1989 y posteriormente pas\u00f3 por distintas denominaciones hasta convertirse en <strong>Best Rock,<\/strong> ha reconocido a artistas como <strong>Guns N\u2019 Roses, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Korn, Linkin Park<\/strong> y <strong>Aerosmith. Coldplay,<\/strong> ganador en 2025 por \u201cAll My Love\u201d, queda as\u00ed como el \u00faltimo vencedor del premio. Algo m\u00e1s que discutible.<\/p>\n<p>La desaparici\u00f3n de Best Rock llega en un contexto en el que los VMAs hab\u00edan reducido progresivamente el peso del g\u00e9nero, orientando la categor\u00eda hacia el alt-rock y el pop-rock y dejando en segundo plano al hard rock.
