DW Diner Express & Liquor Store in Channahon will close Aug. 9, the business announced Sunday on its Facebook page.
Originally known as Delight Wish when the family-owned restaurant opened in 2021, the Eastern European establishment served traditional food with buffet, carryout and catering options.
Delight Wish was known for its pierogies, cabbage rolls, potato pancakes, homemade bread and made-to-order food.
“This decision was not made lightly, and we are incredibly grateful for your support and loyalty over the years,” DW Diner Express & Liquor Store said Sunday on Facebook. “We encourage you to order one last time to enjoy your favorite meals and drinks before our final day of operation.”
