The Eurovision Song Contest is fast approaching and the typical guess work as to where the United Kingdom will finish this year has been drummed up and sorry to say but the odds do not look great. The UK will be seeking an improvement from last year’s performance which saw them finish joint-last with hosts Switzerland with both nations finishing on zero points.

At the time of writing this, the odds on the UK to win their first Eurovision Song Contest since 1997 varies drastically from 33/1 all the way to 250/1 – valuing the currently entry rather lowdown the pecking order. The best price at the moment is going for 250/1 with SpreadEx for the UK to provide a shock win whereas BoyleSports are the shortest at a rather surprising 33/1 on the market.

However, despite the large odds, it is not a certainty that the UK will finish bottom according to the bookies. San Marino, Estonia, Georgia and Belgium are all priced at 500/1 in the market to win the competition which suggests the UK may well get some points next weekend at the very least.

The UK will be hoping to put recent Eurovision disappointment behind them with “Eins, Zwei, Drei” from electronic musician Sam Battle. Better known to many as YouTuber Look Mum No Computer, Battle was confirmed as the UK’s act in February 2026, with his entry being billed as a high-energy, knowingly “cheesy” slice of electronic pop ahead of the show in Vienna.

The pressure is on after last year’s result, when the UK — along with Switzerland — finished with zero points for Remember Monday’s “What the Hell Just Happened?”, a title that felt painfully apt once the voting was complete. It marked the UK’s second pointless finish at Eurovision, after Jemini’s “Cry Baby” suffered the same fate back in 2003.
