Sweden’s Eurovision Song Contest entrant experienced a costume mishap just moments into their semi-final performance.

Performer Felicia appeared on the Vienna stage to deliver her energetic track My System, sporting a black glittery mask that concealed the lower portion of her face.

Yet during the routine, as the music transitioned and the lighting faded, when she reappeared, Felicia was sporting oversized glasses with the mask nowhere to be seen.

She carried on singing as though nothing had occurred, but BBC presenters Angela Scanlon and Rylan Clark disclosed that this hadn’t been planned.

Scanlon remarked: “That’s a bit of a wardrobe malfunction on the old glasses, isn’t it? She let the mask slip too, this is all a bit of an exclusive, we didn’t see this in rehearsal.”

Clark then playfully interjected: “I’m just happy she’s got a mouth! I didn’t know if she had one or not.”

Despite the costume blunder, fans remained enthusiastic about Felicia’s performance.

One viewer posted on X: “I think #Norway (in Thursday’s semi final) is my favourite, but that #Sweden performance was something else…What a tune!

“Sweden was damn good, will definitely qualify!”, a second wrote as another branded it a “pure dance banger”.

Another spectator noted: “Sweden is the queen and king when it comes to Eurovision, they don’t play it lightly.”

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will once more feature 15 countries in each semi-final battling for their spot in the prestigious grand final this Saturday, May 16, on BBC One.

The leading 10 nations from each semi-final will advance to join the five pre-qualified countries — France, Germany, Italy, the UK, and last year’s winner, Austria — on the night.

Eurovision 2026 is being held in Vienna, Austria, after 24-year-old JJ claimed the coveted trophy with his performance of Wasted Love.

Rylan Clark and Angela Scanlon are presenting tonight’s show and the remaining semi-finals on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with Graham Norton stepping in to host the grand final on Saturday evening.

Eurovision Song Contest 2026 continues nightly this week at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
