Three days from the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, Felicia has been ordered to rest her voice.
The morning after her performance in the first semi-final, Sweden’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Felicia, had experienced problems with her voice and as a result her delegation took the decision to cancel all planned interviews for Wednesday.
Felicia’s performance of “My System” on Tuesday night successfully earned Sweden a place in Saturday’s Grand Final. However, her voice has since become unrecognisable according to her team. Speaking to Aftonbladet, they said the turquoise carpet, singing and long days spent in a dry arena, shouts of joy and lots of talk have clearly taken their toll on the singer. Felicia’s team have reassured she is not ill, but has been recommended to a speaking ban for at least Wednesday.
Felicia herself further reassures she is not ill and that she is following advice given by her singing coach, and she says:
“It’s the talking that’s the worst and it’s a disaster for me who hates being quiet. But it’s just following the advice I got from my singing coach, being quiet, resting and drinking water and luckily, I’m not sick.
“I’m so excited for the final, then both my voice and glasses will hold up.”
Eurovoix had the opportunity to catch up with Felicia ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, and you can watch our interview here:
