France has been confirmed as competing in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026, marking their tenth appearance in the competition.
The French Head of Delegation has confirmed to La Chaine 12 Points that the country will compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. France won the 2025 contest represented by Lou Deleuze with โCe mondeโ, but turned down the right to host this yearโs competition due to financial pressures at the broadcaster.
Lou Deleuze won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi for France with โCe mondeโ. She scored 248 points, giving France their fourth victory in history and tying them with Georgia for the most wins overall.
Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026
Junior Eurovision 2025 was won by France, but the French broadcaster has declined to host the competition. France in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest+
France first participated in the 2004 contest in Lillehammer. Thomas Pontier placed 6th with his song โSi on voulait bienโ. Afterwards, they withdrew from the contest and did not return until 2018. Since then, they have won four times; in 2020 with โJโimagineโ by Valentina, in 2022 with โOh Maman!โ by Lissandro, in 2023 with โCลurโ by Zoรฉ Clauzure and most recently in 2025 with โCe mondeโ by Lou Deleuze. France has hosted the contest twice; in 2021 in Paris and in 2023 in Nice.
