Graham Norton took a sharp swipe at Eurovision Final presenter Victoria Swarovski just moments after the annual song contest’s live final got underway.
Victoria was joined by actor Michael Ostrowski for this year’s edition of the competition, which was broadcast live from the Wiener Stadthalle arena in Vienna on Saturday night.
Austria are hosting the event for the third time in their history after JJ claimed victory at last year’s contest.
Victoria first rose to prominence for performing the theme song in the 2010 adventure film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and is the heiress to the hugely popular jewellery brand Swarovski.

Victoria’s father holds a position within the family-owned business. As of last year, the company, which has outlets across the UK, carries a value of $4.8 billion and is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious jewellery brands on the planet, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Michael, meanwhile, is an accomplished actor and screenwriter, whose credits include Dark Rivers, The Hawk and Contact High. He also appeared in the 2004 comedy-drama Nacktschnecken.
Despite the considerable credentials of both hosts, Graham wasted no time in taking aim at the pair. The Irish television presenter has been handling Eurovision commentary duties for the BBC since 2009.
Moments after the duo appeared on stage, Graham quipped: “Obviously, presenting a television programme isn’t rocket science until you see these two do it. You’ll see various variations of it all night.”

With numerous viewers on social media preoccupied by Michael’s outfit, Graham remarked he looked like he was ‘selling balloon animals’. After updating fans about Victoria’s fortunes, Graham made a striking claim regarding her stunning black sheer dress.
“I’m told that she’s wearing jewels tonight worth £4.5 million. It seems unlikely now, but that’s what I heard,” he said.
Another amusing moment occurred when the hosts introduced a game where they’d attempt to name as many Eurovision songs as possible, prompting Graham to say: “They did rehearse this, I thought they’d drop that and not play this annoying game for four hours. They didn’t.”
Those watching the Eurovision Final at home flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, after spotting how many digs Graham was aiming at Victoria and Michael. Nevertheless, the majority of them found it entertaining.
