A new analysis by the travel money expert, eurochange, has highlighted where travelers should be looking for the best prices on the popular summertime cocktail. The analysis looked at over 35 of the most popular summer vacation spots across the continent.
Here are the cheapest cities in Europe for enjoying an Aperol Spritz according to the research:
Naples, Italy
The cheapest Aperol Spritz in Europe can be found in Naples, where the average cost of the cocktail is just €2.00 ($2.33). Naples also happens to be the birthplace of pizza and offers an intoxicating mix of history and culture, making the cost of the Aperol Spritz just an additional bonus to visiting.
Palermo, Italy
The second Italian city on the list, Palermo, earns the second spot with an average Aperol Spritz price of around €4.00 ($4.65). The capital of Sicily offers ornate palaces, street food markets, and plenty to see and do before settling into a pre-dinner spritz.
Varna, Bulgaria
Varna comes in third with an average Aperol Spritz price of around €4.75 ($5.52). Located on the Black Sea coast, Varna is the largest seaside city in Bulgaria and boasts stunning sandy beaches and a lively nightlife, perfect for enjoying a spritz during the day or night.
Burgas, Bulgaria
The second Bulgarian Black Sea destination to make the list, Burgas has a slightly more laid-back atmosphere than other beach resorts. It’s appealing for travelers looking for a seaside summer getaway without the unreasonable prices and, what’s more, an Aperol Spritz costs just €4.92 ($5.72) on average.
Marmaris, Türkiye
Marmaris is the first and only destination in Türkiye to make the list. Situated on the Turquoise Coast, the resort town is famous for its crystal clear waters, beautiful beaches, and has an average Aperol Spritz price of ₺333 ($7.26).
