The climate-focused investor body published a summary of the implementation challenges it identified after mapping its Net Zero Investment Framework against the UK\u2019s Sustainability Disclosure Requirements and the EU\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.responsible-investor.com\/sfdr\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>EU standard setter EFRAG has joined the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/carbonaccountingfinancials.com\/en\/newsitem\/efrag-joins-the-pcaf-engagement-group#newsitemtext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">central banking and regulatory engagement group<\/a>. The influential finance-backed carbon accounting body\u2019s engagement group aims to strengthen alignment between standard setters and regulators and support \u201cthe consistent implementation of accounting methodologies for emissions associated with financial activities\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Low water <a href=\"https:\/\/www.responsible-investor.com\/german-investors-engage-firms-on-rhine-low-water-levels\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">levels on the Rhine<\/a> make a 10-20 basis point impact on German GDP \u201cincreasingly plausible\u201d, with the possibility that levels at the critical Kaub measuring station could fall to single digits as early as this week, according to Deutsche Bank. Marc Schattenberg, an economist in the bank\u2019s research arm, said the river could be cut in half in a worst-case scenario, with supply of raw materials to industrial sites south of Kaub already restricted. \u201cCommercial shipping operations could soon become unprofitable due to restricted transport capacities and might even grind to a halt if water levels continue to fall,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Commerz Real has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.diebayerische.de\/presse\/commerzreal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">won a mandate<\/a> from Die Bayerische to manage the German insurer\u2019s \u20ac500 million Pangaea Life Blue Energy fund. The fund, which invests across renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, had previously been managed by Aquila Capital, with the switch due to take place at the start of 2027. \u201cI am glad that we could win this very attractive mandate,\u201d said Henning Koch, head of Commerz Real, which is the real assets arm of Commerzbank.
