National Hurricane Center tracking 2 areas near Europe<\/p>\n

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a low-pressure system in the northeastern Atlantic that could develop subtropical or tropical characteristics as it moves toward Portugal and Spain.<\/p>\n

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring tw0 areas of low pressure in the northern Atlantic Ocean near Europe.<\/p>\n

“A non-tropical area of low pressure is developing along a front over the northeastern Atlantic a few hundred miles north-northeast of the Azores. This system could separate from its front and acquire some subtropical or tropical characteristics on Saturday or early Sunday while it moves east-southeastward at 10 to 15 mph toward Portugal and northwestern Spain,” the National Hurricane Center said in its tropical weather outlook on Friday, Aug. 21 at 5 a.m.<\/p>\n
