Representatives of France, the United Kingdom and Germany have arrived in Kyiv to participate in negotiations alongside US President Donald Trump’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.<\/p>\n
Source: Kyrylo Budanov<\/a>, Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, as reported by European Pravda<\/p>\n Details: Budanov reported on social media that Witkoff and Kushner have arrived in Kyiv and said they are not the only negotiators to come to the Ukrainian capital.<\/p>\n “Representatives of our European partners \u2013 France, the United Kingdom, and Germany \u2013 are also in Kyiv.<\/p>\n Together, we are all working to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine,” he wrote.<\/p>\n President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced<\/a> at approximately 14:20 that negotiations with Witkoff and Kushner have begun.<\/p>\n Zelenskyy previously said Ukraine had prepared to meet Witkoff and Kushner at the airport, but Russia effectively prevented them from flying in. The previous day, 5 September, the special envoys had held talks in Moscow.<\/p>\n Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian ruler, said Vladimir Putin told the US envoys during Saturday’s talks that he is confident his war aims will be achieved. The White House described the talks as “substantive”<\/a> and announced that the next steps will be unveiled in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
