Kazakh broadcaster Khabar will not broadcast this year\u2019s edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s Eurovision Song Contest will not be broadcast by Kazakh broadcaster Khabar, as neither Semi-Finals or Grand Final broadcasts appear in their programming schedule<\/a>. Previously, Khabar aired the contest between 2010 to 2021, but halted the broadcasts due to low ratings. <\/p>\n Kazakhstan has shown an interest in the Eurovision Song Contest since the 2010\u2019s, with reports of a potential Kazakh appearance at the contest gaining momentum in 2015 following their associate membership status<\/a> with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Earlier this year, there were reports that Kazakhstan were considering making their debut at the 2026 contest as discussions took place with the EBU, however the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan noted that participation would require significant financial investment and that the current budget does not take this into account.<\/p>\n However, Kazakhstan were invited to participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, where they competed annually from 2018 to 2022.
