Between 2015 and 2025, trade in agricultural products expanded significantly, with exports growing at an average annual rate of 4.4% and imports at a slightly higher rate of 5.0%.<\/p>\n

Who are the EU\u2019s main trade partners for agricultural goods?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The main export partners of agricultural goods in 2025 were the United Kingdom, with a 23.3% share (\u20ac55.6 billion), followed by the United States (12.0%; \u20ac28.5 billion), Switzerland (5.7%; \u20ac13.5 billion) and China (4.9%; \u20ac11.6 billion). Compared with 2024, most partners\u2019 shares showed only minor fluctuations, while the United States recorded a 0.9% drop due to the introduction of tariffs on several agricultural products.<\/p>\n

Most of the EU imports originated from Brazil (8.5%, \u20ac18.2 billion), the United Kingdom (8.0%; \u20ac17.1 billion), the United States (6.2%; \u20ac13.3 billion) and China (5.1%; \u20ac10.9 billion).Compared with 2024, the main EU partners for agricultural goods have remained largely stable; however, Ukraine’s share of imports dropped from 6.7% to 5.0% due to the expiration of trade facilitation measures previously granted for agricultural products.<\/p>\n
