When it comes to Eurovision many viewers can predict which side of the scoreboard they will see the UK at the end of the night. The last time the United Kingdom won the Eurovision Song Contest was almost 30 years ago, in 1997, when Katrina and the Waves won with Love Shine a Light.<\/p>\n

In recent years, the UK has rarely moved from the right side of the scoreboard, often scoring the dreaded nul points. There was one exception in Turin, Italy, in 2022, when Sam Ryder blew audiences away with his performance of Spaceman and secured second place.<\/p>\n

This year, Sam Battle, better known as his stage name, Look Mum No Computer represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday, May 16. He came in 25th place with his song Eins, Zwei, Drei, which won 1 point overall thanks to the jury vote.<\/p>\n

Ukraine was the only country to award him any points, and he unfortunately received no points from the public.<\/p>\n
