The UK\u2019s Eurovision<\/a> public vote drought has stretched to three straight years after Look Mum No Computer finished last at Eurovision 2026 with nul points from the public and just one point from the jury.<\/p>\n

Sam Battle, who performs as Look Mum No Computer<\/a>, took to social media after the final on 16 May to share a gracious message about the result. \u201cThe most important thing is [that] we all tried our hardest,\u201d he wrote. \u201cRegardless of what is against us. Whatever it may be. Gotta keep trying your hardest regardless of the\u2026 outcome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Battle also congratulated Bulgaria on the win<\/a>, calling performer Dara the \u201cdeserved winner\u201d, and said he had met \u201ca lot of amazing folk\u201d during the competition. The 37-year-old shared his statement alongside footage of him with a crowd chanting \u201cUK\u201d and \u201cein Punkt\u201d (German for \u201cone point\u201d).<\/p>\n

UK\u2019s three-year televote slump<\/p>\n

Battle performed \u201cEins, Zwei, Drei\u201d in Saturday\u2019s final (16 May), but received nul points from the public vote and just one point from the jury.<\/p>\n

Bulgaria won Eurovision with DARA\u2019s \u201cBangaranga\u201d, marking the country\u2019s first-ever victory in the contest. For the UK, the result continued a stark run in the televote: Battle is the third UK act in a row to receive nul points from the public, after trio Remember Monday in 2025 and Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander in 2024.<\/p>\n

The build-up to this year\u2019s performance also included a viral moment in which Battle appeared to be \u201cabandoned\u201d<\/a> in the arena, though the situation was later clarified.<\/p>\n

Who is Look Mum No Computer?<\/p>\n

Battle is best known online for DIY electronics and music-making using custom-built instruments and synths, with a fanbase drawn to inventive, analogue-heavy sounds and eccentric performance setups. He has released music under the Look Mum No Computer stage name and is known for building unusual instruments as part of his creative identity.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the final, Battle said he was \u201chappy to be an underdog\u201d, with bookmakers listing him at 80\/1 to win. He added: \u201cThere\u2019s all different ways of looking at it, but it\u2019s not bothering me, because nobody\u2019s actually seen the full [performance]. There\u2019s a lot more going on than meets the eye \u2013 I\u2019m hoping it\u2019s going to surprise people.\u201d<\/p>\n
