{"id":95665,"date":"2026-07-16T09:58:18","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T09:58:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/europe\/95665\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T09:58:18","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T09:58:18","slug":"byd-aims-to-build-3000-flash-charging-stations-across-europe-within-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/europe\/95665\/","title":{"rendered":"BYD aims to build 3,000 \u2018flash-charging\u2019 stations across Europe within months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Chinese electric car giant BYD is building a network of 6,000 charging stations in overseas markets including Europe, as it looks to turbocharge its deliveries with the roll-out of cutting-edge flash-charging technology.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The world\u2019s largest electric vehicle (EV) maker aims to have 3,000 charging stations that support its flash-charging technology in operation across Europe by the end of March 2027, the company told the South China Morning Post in a statement.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">It also plans to add 2,000 of the facilities in the Americas and 1,000 in the Asia-Pacific region over the same period.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">BYD\u2019s newest charging stations can give some of the company\u2019s pure electric models a driving range of more than 900 kilometres (559 miles) after less than 10 minutes of charging.<\/p>\n<p>In mainland China, the company already operates just over 7,000 flash-charging stations and plans to raise that number to 20,000 by the end of the year.
