James Cameronin Avatar-saaga on yksi elokuvahistorian eeppisimpiä franchiseja. Kolmatta osaa, Avatar: Fire and Ashia, on saatu odottaa jo vuosien ajan.
Pian se on kuitenkin teattereissa. Leffan ensi-ilta on 17. joulukuuta.

Avatar: Fire and Ash sijoittuu noin vuosi sen jälkeen, kun Jake (Sam Worthington) ja Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) liittyivät Metkayina-heimon joukkoon. He surevat edelleen vanhimman poikansa Neteyamin kuolemaa. Pariskunta kohtaa uuden vihollisheimon, jota johtaa Varang (Oona Chaplin), kun Pandoralla käytävä konflikti kärjistyy.
Lehdistönäytökset ovat käynnistyneet, ja ennakkopöhinän perusteella kyseessä on tuttuun tapaan todellinen silmäkarkkien silmäkarkki.
Ihmiset valittavat kuitenkin eräästä asiasta, eikä se ole elokuvan kolmetuntinen kesto.
Osa elokuvan nähneistä kertoo, että Fire and Ash alkaa käydä jo hieman itseään toistavaksi. Ilmeisesti kolmas osa etenee samalla kaavalla kuin kaksi aiempaa.
Elokuvaa kuitenkin hehkutetaan huomattavasti enemmän kuin sille annetaan negatiivista palautetta.
