H\u00e4n ei kuitenkaan koe b\u00e4ndi\u00e4 en\u00e4\u00e4 varsinaisesti deathcoreksi, vaan \u00e4\u00e4rimetalliyhtyeeksi, jonka soundi ammentaa useista vaikutteista. Archeyn mukaan keskustelu b\u00e4ndin genrest\u00e4 on saattanut jopa vauhdittaa klassisen deathcoren uutta nousua. Kritiikist\u00e4 huolimatta h\u00e4n suhtautuu asiaan my\u00f6nteisesti ja korostaa skenen avoimuutta kaikenik\u00e4isille sek\u00e4 luottamusta siihen, ett\u00e4 b\u00e4ndin tuleva suunta muotoutuu luonnollisesti.<\/p>\n<p>Archer kommentoi:<br \/>\u201dI always think about where people shit on us, like \u2019they\u2019re not deathcore,\u2019 because we\u2019ve kind of rattled the boat a little bit of what deathcore could be.<br \/>I wouldn\u2019t even call us deathcore anymore.
