Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has donated $1 million to Donald Trump’s MAGA Inc. political action committee ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, adding to a long history of political contributions.

According to Front Office Sports, Jones also contributed another $500,000 to political campaigns in Texas, including $250,000 to a PAC supporting Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton.

The latest donations are not the first time the Cowboys owner has made a seven-figure contribution connected to Trump. Jones previously donated $1 million to Trump’s presidential inauguration in 2017.

Jones was among several prominent NFL owners who contributed heavily to Trump’s inaugural committee, which raised a record $107 million for the celebrations.

Other owners who donated $1 million included Robert Kraft of the New England Patriots, Shad Khan of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Stan Kroenke of the Los Angeles Rams, Woody Johnson of the New York Jets and Dan Snyder of the Washington Redskins.

Jones’ 2017 contribution came despite his earlier public support for former New Jersey governor Chris Christie during the Republican presidential primary.

The Cowboys owner has continued making political donations in subsequent years. According to USA Today, he contributed $396,000 to Republican candidates in 2020.

His latest reported contributions include $1 million to MAGA Inc. and another $500,000 towards Texas political races. His son, Jerry Jones Jr., has also made donations, including $50,000 to Senator John Cornyn and $100,000 to Senator Ted Cruz’s political action committee.

Jones’ political activity comes as the Cowboys navigate a difficult start to the NFL season, with the team sitting at 3-4 heading into Week 8.

The billionaire, whose net worth Forbes estimates at $23.5 billion, remains one of the most influential owners in American sport. His latest donations place him among the NFL figures continuing to support Republican political causes ahead of the midterms.
