Relationship with Trump may be beyond repair, Keir Starmer told

  1. I know diplomacy is important, but sometimes, surely, someone must just turn round to Trump and tell the fat fucking oaf to shut his dementia-driven mouth.

  2. I think the whole world wishes their relationship with Trump was beyond repair, and by that I mean hope he fucks off and doesn’t come back.

  3. I think the headline is a bit unfair.

There’s no “may be” about it.

  4. Best news Starmer has had in years. Trump will be gone before we know it and Starmer can go into the next election looking like a tough guy.

  5. Trump really has got a bee in his bonnet over the UK hasn’t he. Its not as if UK involvement in his war gives him much.

  6. Oh no, anyway…. How can you ruin something when one side decides to tear up every agreement you sign. Manipulates global markets for their own selfish gain and enter silly wars on the whims of the Israeli President.

  7. Oh no….. anyway how’s everyone’s good Friday gone?

  8. Keir – you are not alone
Trump relationship with anyone beside himself is beyond repair

  9. Good! Tell the US to get peddling on down the road only to return when they’ve got a fucking grip.

In the meantime, let us do what we’ve traditionally done. Keep calm and carry on.

    Onwards and upwards.

  10. Ok, if it is then it is, but it’s down to Trump’s bizarre behaviours & expectations coupled with his absolute inability to be told “no”.

  11. One of the best things Starmer could do for his approval ratings is just call Trump a pants shitting child rapist

  12. Good. If I was him I’d tell him to do one, and organise a press conference per week to remind everyone that I’m not up the man’s rear like old Nige who scrambles around on his knees for a chance to steal a lick every so often (and who would right now be sending your children to die if he could)

  13. Good, Im sick of us licking his unworthy ass. Hes the steward not the king and he’ll be out of office in a few years, not like he’s got long to live either … old orange crusty child molesting ass

  14. Well as much as it’s not ideal, Trump will do whatever he wants to, regardless of what Starmer does, beyond ridiculous, Rutter-level sycophancy.

At least now, should he raise tariffs again, we may have something to blame it on.

And after learning of the way in which Trump’s administration engaged with the Tory government during his first term, it becomes clear that he has no respect for diplomatic norms, even with allies.

Even if Trump pulls the US out of NATO – which will require congressional approval – his failure to do so will simply mean that he’ll continue to use that as leverage whenever something that he doesn’t like occurs. That’s not to say i want the US to leave.

So we’ll have to move on and see what Putin’s next move is.

  15. I think we need to treat him like an old man with dementia.

“THAT’S NICE DONALD, DID YOU LIKE YOUR STEAK AND TOMATO KETCHUP?”

  16. Not saying mistakes weren’t made or that he shouldn’t have been sacked or even hired originally but sometimes its helpful to have someone like Mandelson around, he may be a slimey git, but he can work a person.

  17. I know it’d be bad for all of us, as in, really really bad, but there is nothing I want more than every other country to just cut the US out of geopolitics until they remove this fuckwit

There is absolutely nothing redeemable about him. He’s all of humanity’s worst in one very large package

  18. Fair play to Starmer for remaining diplomatic for so long in the face of absolute insanity.

Trump is the most detestable President of all time, most would have chinned him if given the chance.

  19. Thing is with people like Donnie you just don’t know. He’ll be best pals with Kier next time he sees him and all that stuff he said will be expected to be forgotten.

  20. Trumps relationship with the rest of the world has been beyond repair for awhile now… Lets just cut ties and wait it out…

  21. Great. Let’s disentangle our economy from that gobshite country too.

  22. Nobody sane wants a relationship with the orange toddler anyway. This is good for Starmer and the UK.

  23. I truly hope this all ends our reliance on the US long term. Forging alliances with a broader network or nations over being reliant on one is better for the country.

  24. How can the King, the head of our armed forces, visit this country when Trump has slagged off our military capability saying warships are broken and we don’t engage front line. King Charles needs to grow a pair and tell Trump to do one

  25. It’s not just the relationship with Trump, it’s the relationship with the USA in general. He’s the symptom, there are plenty more MAGA fundamentalists willing to keep going. And I don’t just mean politicians, I mean the voters.

It’s also unfortunately not easy to give them the finger overnight. We kick them out of our military bases, suddenly there are embargoes on US-made parts for our F35 fighters, nuclear subs and weapons, Boeing aircraft, you name it.

It’s going to be a decades-long process to disentangle ourselves from our reliance on the US. We need to rebuild our own industrial capabilities, as well as becoming more integrated with the EU.

If nothing else this should be the wake-up call to Europe to start acting like the superpower it could be, without the performative nonsense.
