So it’s cause the BMA doesn’t use Professional Negotiators, driving harder bargains, and that they are making the professional career unionists look bad?
Im not surprised. The initial position the BMA set out was a good starting position, they finally got what looked like a decent deal, better than most others, yet it appears they’ve forgotten that part of negotiating is to understand where to accept and where to push, and I think this was the point to accept, instead they’re still pushing for 100% and they risk losing a lot of sympathy from the general public if they begin to appear intransigent
Sounds more like petty jealously. From a leadership that they can’t be bothered to fight hard for their membership.
The BMA’a membership talked and voted. now are that leadership tried talking that did not work so are now taking action.
Maybe the leadership of those unions that are apparently professional negotiators. you talk with your own membership.
So the other unions are getting peeved off because they cant do as good of a job and the BMA are making them look bad?
I see the smear campaign has properly kicked off since the threat of removing all those training places didn’t bring them to heel.
I don’t know how the government has the nerve to push back at the BMA. The doctors are asking for £22 PER HOUR! Most people are paid more than that just to tap a keyboard. Politicians are certainly paid more than that and they give far less value than even the lowliest of doctors.
The disrespect is staggering. It’s got nothing to do with the actual pay rate as those Physician Assistants are paid far more than doctors – even when the doctors get their payrise.
