few days ago my friend tried to close the window and somehow was successfull to pull the whole window off. the part (2nd image) came off and we somehow put it togather. But with zero knowledge to german window system forgot to put this latch on, now it is always on kippen and won't lock or open. is there any way to fix this?

Its hard to see the details from those pictures, but maybe try to put the cylindric thing in the hole?
