Foud a Gerber LMF Il Infantry Knife on top of my Mailbox

I found a Gerber LMF Il Infantry Knife placed on top of

my mailbox outside my apartment building and T

am not

sure what I should do. I did not order anything, and it

appears to have been left there by someone. I would like

to handle this properly and legally. Would you

recommend putting up a notice in the building to try to

find the owner, or should I bring it to the police?
