That’s for sure. Whenever you may think that what they do (or should do) is a good idea, the method is very suspect. They are closer to a secret police than a federal agency.

I believe in the rule of law and due process. Immigration enforcement should happen within that framework, therefore I stand with ICE.
That is not really a surprise.
People who watch SRF are trained to find this incredibly brutal, because the news is structured that way. Of course they will reply to a poll in the way it is portrayed by their source of truth.
I suspect that, if you did the same poll on 20Minutes, you’d have different results.
Does switzerland allow me to stay beyond my visa? I mean, if you dont want other countries to implement strict border and visa rules, shouldnt you allow me to overstay my visa? Last time i checked, they are gonna kick me out, fine me, and even jail me if i hide in and work without a visa.
The survey would have the opposite result if you asked people who neither use/read SRF, 20 Min or Blick.
I am very glad that a SRF poll is not representative
The opinion of these people is probably guided by whatever opinion SRF gives them, and, to be quite honest, SRF has a pretty strong opinion against Trump.

Speaking as an American, i’m glad the rest of the world realizes the USA has completely collapsed. We’re no better than Russia.

This probably has more to do with the Swiss being salty over the Trump tariffs effecting their commerce.
Essentially what is wrong with deporting people who entered the States illegally? Wouldn’t Switzerland do the same?
We Europeans sure love to virtue signal when it’s about America, but the truth is people want the same ICE style if not harsher immigration laws when it comes to Europe.
