Hi everyone,
I received an automatically generated email from the Ausländerbehörde in Düsseldorf confirming my appointment (date, time, location, check-in info, etc.).
The email only confirms the Termin and does not mention bringing any documents at all. It just says it’s a personal appointment related to my application.
Is this normal?
Has anyone received a similar email and just showed up without being asked for additional documents?
I’m wondering whether this usually means they already have everything they need, or if they still expect you to bring documents even when not explicitly stated.
Also, quick question for Düsseldorf specifically: are permanent residence (Niederlassungserlaubnis) appointments usually handled in Building C, or does it depend on the case?
Would appreciate hearing about similar experiences. Thanks!

I got the same email for my Niederlassungerlaubnis in Düsseldorf. From what I heard this is normal. They already have everything they need and just need to interview you and will likely take your biometrics. One girl told me she didn’t get interviewed at all though.
I’m going to bring all my documents just in case though!
I assume if nothing is mentioned that *usually* means that there’s nothing you need to bring. That being said, it might also be a mistake andwhoever sent the email missed clicking some boxes, so if you have documents that you think might be relevant I’d bring them just in case, could save you another trip there.
