I sent a package by the US Postal Service to my son living in Belgium. BPost says it is on the way to Belgium, but the USPS tracking shows it went to Brussels but is now in Ireland. I checked Ireland’s postal tracking and it is getting ready for delivery, I guess in Ireland? I’ve sent several packages, but this is the first time I’ve had one go to another country.

Both Belgian and Irish postal services are closed right now, and the USPS doesn’t have a customer service phone number or chat. Ugh! I’ll just chat with the other two tomorrow morning. How common is this?

  1. Common, I don’t know, but this is the second time I’ve ever seen this, and first time was less than a year ago. That one was a package from Australia to Israel, which somehow ended up in Belgium.
