Hallo!
Ah sorry, the photo was purely to grab your attention. Glad that it worked!
We already live in Germany – feel free to answer in German – but we're planning to move to the north. Target cities so far are Lübeck, Kiel, Flensburg, and Emden (and close surroundings). So I'm looking for all and any feedback and tips that you may have!
Especially, I'd like to hear from you if you work/ed in **bio-related laboratories in Universities, Hochschulen or other institutions or companies (**not necessarily research):
- What cool projects or topics do you work on?
- How are the laboratories / facilities there?
- How is the atmosphere, what do you like or dislike the most?
As for myself: I already have a MSc in a biomedical field but… I dropped out of my PhD program, to work as technical laboratory assistant. Took long enough but I realised I didn't really care enough for the topic, and the focus of the work was also too narrow for how my brain works.
I love having my hands in every part of the life of a lab and taking care of the structural and organizational aspects, instrument maintenance and whatnot, and in general working to assist different projects. I'd also be happy to learn something new, especially if it involves sustainability, new environmental-friendly solutions and such.
Thanks in advance!

I have been to all four cities, and like lübeck best. Especially Emden and Flensburg have a lot of charm, too.
I also work in sustainability (energy, not biological sustainability) at the uni. Lübeck is well known for its medical research, and the entire university revolves around it in one way or another.
