I’m sure this has been asked a million times so apologies

I just arrived in Prague today, it’s absolutely stunning and I’ve been loving every second in this amazing place

I’m also a fan of a joint to relax in the evenings, I’ve noticed a lot of people smoking them but I’ve also been told all the cannibas shops are scams?

I’m just wondering are there maybe some that are legit of is it just that all of them are scams not worth trying?

  2. Cannabis is illegal to sell in Czechia. Any shop claiming to sell it is a scam.

    yes, its a scam. the weed they sell is fake and serves a “decorative” purpose, thats why they get away with it.

  5. As a local I can confirm that all cannibals shops in Prague are real. The meat is well cooked and of highest quality.

  7. Apart from what already others said, that fake cannabis has actual potential to kill you. No joking. Doctors in the city are getting frustrated for how many poisoned tourists they must deal with, some of them fighting for their lives. You can check one of the new videos from Honest Guide for more.

  8. Welcome to Prague! Since January 1, 2026, a new law allows adults (21+) to legally grow up to 3 plants and possess small amounts (25g in public, 100g at home) for personal use. However, commercial sale remains strictly illegal, so those “cannabis shops” are still just selling overpriced CBD or synthetic scams. Unless you have a prescription for medical cannabis, there is no legal way to buy real THC in a shop.

  9. Well there’s a reason they’re all just in the touristy areas 😄 you can basically take that as a good rule of thumb. Anyone who knows local laws will know that what they’re offering is bs that wouldn’t be allowed to exist.
