  1. As an IT guy, I’m indignant with putting my profession together with influencers

    EDIT: translated to eng

  2. IT in Poland:

    19% “Podatek Liniowy”
    8,5%/12% “Ryczałt”
    5% IP Box

Yeah Spain looks good for sure

  3. The question is whether Poland’s economic success depends so much on IT people earning 20k per month that we should all subsidize them. It’s really not about computational scholars or high-level AI specialists.

  4. The tax threshold has to increase it’s downright tyrannical that they increase minimum wage but don’t move tax brackets.
Who exactly is the lower tax bracket for??

  5. It’s laughable to think a significant number of people will leave a place with apt job opportunities, high quality of life, and very low crime rates because they start making 3,5 times instead of 4 times the minimum wage.

  6. Zero chances with passing this law in current political climate.

  7. Poland is an only country where people with x3 average salary pay less % of tax, then people with average salary

  8. Or marry someone who is in the first tax bracket and file jointly – problem solved.

  9. Zróbmy najniższy próg 999999999999999zł i nikt nie będzie płacił.

  10. I work in IT on UoP, people complaining about not being a good option are blinded with greed. I still make many times the minimum salary and live a comfortable life. I pay my taxes and contribute to the development of the country. Engineers on fake B2B contracts are just too accustomed and greedy, and you can downvote me all you want.

In comparison with my colleagues in Sweden, I earn net almost the same as they do.

  11. Lol. lmao even.

Anyone thinking it’s going to happen is so delusional it hurts.

Messing with tax brackets will not yield enough money to risk messing with the governments core electorate. The gain does not outweigh the cost.
Pełczyńska is posturing so she can get off a sinking ship her party turned into, perhaps to some left wing part, that’s all.

She is right that 2nd bracket starting so outrageously low is unfair and it should start at 200k or 250k even.

  13. I thought it’s obvious that work is taxed differently (more heavily) compared to providing services. It’s like comparing apples to oranges.

  14. The “you must earn X to be in higher bracket” amount should be (politician) hands-off amount, auto updated yearly along with minimal/average pay.

Because this is what happens where tax threshold are not auto-updated by law. They become (1) silent tax increase as more and more people will fall into outdated bracket amount and (2) politicians can use “updating the bracket” as voter bait during election.

Meanwhile fake B2B (B2B that is only for one exclusive employer – basically it is becoming a JDG just to avoid taxes) is a problem, from perspective of the government, she is right about that.

  15. you really believe that the government is going to change anything in this country?

  16. Dlaczego wszyscy piszą po angielsku pod postem ze zdjęciem posta po polsku? 😆

  17. As a self-employed programmer who pays 12% and contributes little to society, yeah honestly this makes fucking sense.

And unless something has dramatically changed in the last few years, Spain has better pay equality and is much less lenient towards people like us.

  18. sir they won’t pass shit, even if there was a consensus towards this bill then someone at KO will just say “no” and the rest of ruling coalition will just fold
