it’s the other way around. Parking is generally prohibited on said space. so the fire department vehicle can get as close as possible to the building, as marked on the floor.
Or could it be that nobody except the firefighters are allowed to stop there? Let that sink in…
Quality Shitpost 😅
Goddamnit, IQ is dropping
Its exactly the other way around, they forbid everyone else from parking there BECAUSE the fire department needs that space to (not sure cause idk how it looks there exactly but most likely) so they can get in and out of their garage.
Please tell me it’s just an unfunny joke.
When there is a fire, they don’t want the fire department to extinguish it because it is usually cheaper to let it burn down completely due to insurance, etc. And since Swiss people adhere to rules, this is a good way to ensure that. /s
I think it means it’s forbidden because of the Feuerwehr. (normal “Halteverbot” doesn’t stop people from parking, but “Feuerwehr” makes them think twice.
Fun story, I was a member of the Freiwillige Feuerwehr” and I once forgot to put the key black in the safe and stopped there for 20 seconds and my car didn’t start again. I was panicking because it also didn’t go in neutral. Had to somehow wait 2 minutes with the engine off to completely shut down the software and it worked again, but longest 2 minutes of my life
