Picked up this piece of Swiss history for the low, low price of zero francs. It’s a Tebag—standard issue for Swiss streets about 50 years ago.

It needs a massive amount of "elbow grease" and some serious polishing, but the bones are amazing. It’s got that double-top-tube mixte frame that just looks so much cooler than a standard step-through.

I’m going for a "low budget, high shine" flip. If I can get that chrome back to life with some foil and water, she’s going to be a head-turner.

Any tips on cleaning up 60-year-old Swiss paint without ruining the patina?

  1. Clean it, replace the brake cables and brake pads, check the gears and lights, and replace the tires. Done!
