I enjoyed many of late night kebab in there over the years. It was peak around 2010-2015.
What is increasing pressure in their sector? Costs are definitely increased but as well as their prices.I wonder what is actual reason behind this
It was good back in the day but it’s just a matter of time for any business when they significantly increase prices whilst simultaneously dropping the quality/quantity. There’s a ceiling to what people will pay for a kebab
Hasn’t been the same in years. Far too expensive for what you get compared to other kebab places.
I’m a big fan of Zaytoon but a kebab meal hitting €20 made me stop ordering. Berlin kebab off O’Connell street and Reyna are cheaper alternatives.
I used to be a loyal and frequent customer of Zaytoon, but once the fame hit they went crazy with their prices. I left Dublin for a few years and when I came back I saw a Zaytoon in Ranelagh and was about to get a meal, but saw it was around €20. Not paying that for a kebab, and went elsewhere. Haven’t been to one in 2 or 3 years now. They got greedy and were the architects of their own demise.
It was great when their prices weren’t so astronomical. They go popular and then upped their prices to such an extent that it pushed people away.
Aaaaaaah shit. This is sad to hear, I go regularly. I will miss it dearly
Jst ordered zaytoon today from sandyford and trust me the quality has become worst. Before the chicken was so tender and juicy also the bread was big and soft. Now the chicken is dry and rubbery also the bread tastes different.
It turned to absolute muck the last few years, such a contrast to before then
End of an era! There was nothing better than a zaytoon after a night in the Palace/Whelans etc back in ~2012 🥹
