We should be massively investing in battery and storage in general.
Gas cars? You mean LPG and CNG cars?
Complete shit article with a super misleading headline. Not counting a mild hybrid as ICE is pure bullshit lol. That 20hp starter is just how modern ICE engines are built.
I drive a PHEV and it’s perfect for my commuting…all electric in town and then petrol outside town. And it is subject to tax incentives which makes it the cheapest option. what’s not to like.

The writing’s on the wall.
Also every EV means less oil imports and more independence for the continent.
Not really surprising, every other car is hybrid nowadays. Even if their electric motor is a joke
That’s honestly pretty exciting feels like a quiet turning point where cleaner tech finally becomes the default instead of the exception.
The criteria is awfully misleading since hybrids aren’t counted as petrol cars.
And most of the *hybrids* are mild hybrids with 48V battery and modest motor which improve the consumption in urban driving by 10% or 20% at most
EVs+ Plungin+ hybrid. Title is misleading.
Article is not really clear if they consider plugin or mild in the count.
Definitely recommend Technology Connections newest video on renewables.
