If MP’s (who, let’s not forget are elected to represent their constituents) are threatening to rebel against your plans, you should revisit the plans that are likely to be causing those said constituents issues, rather than whipping and lobbying to get said MP’s to vote against their constituents best interests.

    We live, lest we forget in a representational parliamentary democracy, **not** a dictatorship.
