For anyone without the time or inclination to read the article who assumes (as I initially did) that this is a regurgitated old story, it’s recent. At 72 years old Rose is still at it.

WTF – why was this allowed?
Clearly she’s never getting out, so the only plausible reason is to obscure her identity to other prisoners, and make them less wary of her.
