I feel so bad for these people, I feel like they’re going to be much in the same place war veterans, largely forgotten with some paltry care given but not helped in any meaningful way, especially given the current state of our NHS.
Thanks China.
Last January I caught a virus that left me with fainting and suffering a post viral fatigue syndrome (as the drs called it).
I went from running a 45 min 10k in December, to struggling to get under 70 in June. Advice was to just plough on and train within my heart rate zones, but it was mentally difficult running a segment and seeing that a year ago I was 3 minutes per km faster.
Then, last month I got a cold. I took a week off running and now I’m running 5.30 km 5k pace, a minute faster than the turn of the year, and building back up rapidly, with my body responding to training as it should.
Apparently that’s just what happens sometimes. Bodies are bloody weird.
“250 different symptoms of Long Covid” – with that many symptoms, how can they be sure that it is a single cause and not just multiple causes that have been swept under a blanket diagnoisis.
