>Peter Mandelson told Jeffrey Epstein he was “trying hard” to change government policy on bankers’ bonuses at his request, months after Epstein had paid thousands of pounds to the then UK business secretary’s husband and the 2008 financial crash.
Please remind me again why this guy was ever in the *social democratic* Labour party.
We’ve seen Nathan Gill jailed for taking bribes in exchange for pro-Russian statements. Mandelson was in government taking Epstein money for policy, and he was paid by Russia’s Sistema for years even after Crimea. His rabbit hole goes very deep but I expect it’ll be the Americans who get him in the end, the UK is going to close ranks for all the criminality he could expose.
Just for $75k? I mean big money for any of us, but I imagined lobbying always starts from 6 figures.
It’s corrupt, corrupt from the bottom to the top and they tell you it’s the law…
The LibDems, SNP and Plaid have all called for a criminal investigation but Reform are weirdly quiet. Don’t think I’ve heard a peep off them all day. And the Tories too come to think of it!
