First, an interesting fact about one of the defenders who received help here:
Several months ago a Canadian volunteer, Mac Hughes, was trapped under a burning truck after a shahed strike. He thought he would die. He did not though because teammates refused to leave him. One teammate managed to lift the truck off of him (that is a superhuman feat). The guy who did that is the one who received the moon boot.
Why did he need help getting a moon boot? It’s very common that soldiers who don’t fit in standard sized equipment don’t receive it. If you are exceptionally tall or have very large feet then you might not get what you need. In both cases that is what happened here and both soldiers needed to purchase their own slings and boots.
