give alternative and cheap resources so turkey will not buy from russia. Turkey is not wealthy like USA and Europe. Europe and USA have nothing more than money.
Turkey acts as a key transit route for Russian natural gas to Europe, especially after the expiration of the Ukraine transit deal in January 2025. Through the TurkStream pipeline, Russia supplies gas via Turkey to European nations like Hungary and Slovakia.
THe problem is Turkyes gov and military, the EU already has the US as a major concern regarding military support and or hostile moves. Now imagine the strongest land army of NATO as your enemy in cyprus or southern Greece, where there are still land disputes, also hundred of thousands of refugees flooding the EU borders.
As long as Erdogan is in power and Turkye an autocratic nationalistic state, nothing will change and the EU will ignore Turkyes indirect support for russia. Its the same with China or India, you cant really negotiate or pressure autocratic states like democratic nations in terms of human rights or good will.
I wonder why russia has not bombed the undersea gas pipeline to Turkey
And the EU is #4.
