Cancelled my TV licence last month and told them I no longer needed one. So it will be interesting to see how long it takes to actually start receiving the threatening letters in the mail.

Time to uninstall iplayer everywhere, I imagine they’ll start getting militant wrt people using iplayer without a license. Thankfully all the kids stuff is on youtube now.

However I think there’s a genuine opportunity for the BBC to do their own version of YouTube. We should make more of our own platforms and not rely on Americans.

Cancelled my quarterly payments the other week. I’m not using their services and they need to improve the editorial quality of their news output if they want me to continue funding it like a charity. I firmly disagree with all the political appointees at the top and they will have to win my trust back in the future

All that money will be going directly into Trump’s pocket. The BBC probably know they’re not going to win the lawsuit against them so they’ll choose to settle for tens of millions of dollars instead.
I really quite enjoy not paying. It’s just a little fuck you to the system I get to do on a day to day basis.
Gotta take joy in the little things. I also hope I get an inspection some day just so I can have a bit of fun with the guy. Alas, in 10 years of gleefully watching television I have yet to have a single one show up.
And I still won’t pay for it. Blocked all BBC media services on my home network, uninstalled all the apps capable of streaming live TV, apart from YouTube. Fuck off sending me letters
